Flight to Moron city (one and a half hours). Drive to Khatgal town located on the shore of Khubsgul Lake. Arrive at tourist camp. Overnight in the tourist camp.

Day 3 Exploring Khubsgul Lake

Walking and or horse riding tour around Khubsgul lake. Take photos of this beautiful lake and Khoridol saridag mountain with it’s wildlife. Also fishing and boat riding are available. Overnight in tourist camp.

Day 4 Visiting to Reindeer Family

Visit Tsaatan (reindeer breeding families) (3 hours one way by car after which a 30 min walk). Introduce civilization to the Tsaatan people. Return to the tourist camp. Overnight in the camp.

Day 2 Elsentasarkhai sand dunes and Kharakhorum

Drive out to the Elsentasarkhai sand dune, one of the Mongolia’s biggest sand dunes. Drive to Mongolia’s ancient capital, Karakorum, was founded in 1220, in the Orkhon Valley, at the crossroads of the Silk Route. It was from there that the Mongolia Empire was governed, until Kublai khan moved it to Beijing. There you’ll visit Erdene Zuu monastery, the symbolic ruins of Karakorum. Overnight in tents at the bank of Orkhon river.

Day 3 Tsetserleg city and visit to Zaya Gegeen Monastery

Drive to Tsetserleg, the central town of Arkhangai province. Tsetserleg is located in beautiful mountains covered with forest. The name tsetserleg means “Garden”. We will visit a museum and a monastery in the town and will camp in tents in Tamir River valley after driving 20 km from the town. Overnight in tents.

Day 4 Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake National Park

Drive to Terkhiin Tsagaan lake with crystal clear water in rich of fish at an altitude of 2060m above the sea level. The lake is known in English as the Great White Lake, this freshwater lake (and the volcanic area around it) is certainly the highlight of Arkhangai province. Exploring the lake. Fishing and swimming are available. Overnight in a tourist camp at the shore of Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake.

Day 5 Horse riding to Khorgo Extinct Volcano

Horse riding day. Horse trek along Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake and visit Horgo volcano mountain (2965m), dormant volcano covered with basalt lying in the east of Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake. Horse trekking distance around 12km. Overnight in the camp.

Day 6 Horse riding around the lake

Horse trekking along the north side of Terkhiin Tsagaan lake. Overnight in tents at the west shore of the lake. Trekking distance around 15 km.

Day 7 Drive through Khangai Mountain Range

Drive towards Khuvsgul lake, 2760 sq km alpine lake with water so pure you can drink it. The lake is surrounded by dozens of mountains 2000m high or more, thick pine forests and lush meadows with grazing yaks and horses. Geologically speaking, Khuvsgul is the younger sibling of Siberia’s lake Baikal. On the way to get Khuvsgul, we will sleep near to Shine Ider soum locating at the bank of Ider River in the beautiful natural surroundings. The river is a home of various types of fish. Overnight in tents.

Day 8 Khubsgul Lake

Continue toward Khuvsgul lake. On the way, we will pass Murun, central town of Khuvsgul province. There is local museum contains many interesting exhibits of this province. Arriving at Khuvsgul lake. Overnight in tents on the shore of that magnificent lake.

Day 9 Explore the area

Today we’ll stay on the shore of the great Khuvsgul lake. Khuvsgul lake is one of the most beautiful places and if you want to discover the real landscape of Mongolia, that’s the one of those places. There we can visit nomad families and other families who are reindeer breeders. And we can do some trekking in the mountains and along the coast of the lake. Overnights here.

Day 10 Selenge river

Today we’ll turn to the east, towards Ulaanbaatar. This day, drive to Bulgan province, to the West. On the way, we’ll stop near to Ikh Uul Village on the bank of Selenge river. Overnight in tents.

Day 11 Extinct volcano-Uran mountain

Drive to Uran mountain, extinct volcano. Uran mountain is a pretty good place to break the journey from Khuvsgul to the east. Overnight in tents.

Day 12 Amarbayasgalant Monastery

Drive to Amarbayasgalant Monastery which is the largest Monastery of Mongolia, built in 17th century in the memory of the first Bogd Lama Zanabazar who was the head of Mongolian religion. Located in the northern province Selenge, the Monastery lies in the beautiful surroundings. Overnight in tents.

Day 13 Ulaanbaatar city

Drive to Ulaanbaatar city. Transfer to hotel. On the way, pass Darkhan city, Mongolia’s second largest city.

Day 14 Departure

Key destination: Mongolian Gobi desert, Kharakhorum, Khorgo-extinct volcano-Tserkhiin Tsagaan Lake National Park-Ugii Lake.
Tour length: 14 nights and 15 days

Day 2 Baga Gazriin Chuluu Stones

Depart Ulaanbaatar early towards South Gobi. The Mongolian Gobi is a vast zone of desert and desert steppe covering almost 30% of the Mongolian territory. The Gobi is often imagined as a lifeless desert, but in reality is a land of steppes that serve as a viable habitat to humans and wildlife alike. The Mongolian Government established the Great Gobi Strictly Protected Area in 1975. In 1991 the United Nations designated the Great Gobi as the fourth largest Biosphere Reserve in the world. The Gobi was originally an ancient inland sea basin. Later it became home to many species of dinosaurs, and today is reservoir of fossilized dinosaur bones and eggs. This day we’ll drive to Baga Gazriin Chuluu mountain passing beautiful mountain Zorgol khairkhan. There is granite rock formation in the middle of the dusty plains. Overnight in tents.

Day 3 Bayanzag “Flamming cliffs”

Drive to Bayanzag. The name means “Rich in saxual shrubs” and that is more commonly known as the “Flamming cliffs”, penned by the paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews who first excavated in 1922 and it’s renowned worldwide for the number of dinosaur bones and eggs found in the area, which you can see in the Natural History Museum in Ulaanbaatar. Overnight in tents. Ger camps are also available.

Day 4 Canyon of Eagle’s Mouth

Drive to Yoliin Am (Eagle canyon). This is very interesting and beautiful place where have huge rocky mountains and high canyon with ice frozen areas even in hot summer. There are wild animals such as Ibex, wild sheep, but it is difficult to see. There is a small natural history museum. Overnight here in tents. This day, you will have time to have hiking.

Day 5 Khongor sand dunes

Today we will drive to Khongor sand dunes. Khongor is the largest and the most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia. They are up to 800 m high, 12 km wide and 100km long. You can climb up to the top of the dunes and sliding down. The views of the desert from the top are wonderful. Camel riding is available here. Overnight in tents or ger camp.

Day 6 Trekking on Khongor sand dunes

Today we will stay at the Sand Dunes. We’ll have camel riding along the Sand Dunes. Overnight in tents or ger camp.

Day 7 Ongi Monastery

Drive through beautiful green steppe and reach Ongi monastery. This small mountainous area along the river, the Ongiin gol, in the western soum (town) of Saikhan Ovoo, makes a good resting place to have a break between the South Gobi and to the north or the west. The bend in the river marks the remains of 2 ruined monasteries, the Barlim monastery on the north bank, the Khutagt monastery on the south. Together the complex is known as the Ongi monastery. Exploring the ruins of the monasteries. Overnight in tents.

Day 8 kharakhorum- Mongolia’s ancient capital

Drive to Mongolia’s ancient capital, Kharakhorum. Now kharakhorum city ruin is located on the right bank of Orkhon river in Kharakhorum soum of Uvurkhangai province. Foundation of the city was laid by Chinggis khan and construction done during the period of Ugudei Khan. It was at the crossroads of the Silk Route. It was from there that the Mongolia Empire was governed, until Kublai khan moved it to Beijing. Overnight in Ger camp at the bank of Orkhon river.

Day 9 Erdenezuu Monastery and Taihar Rock

Visit to Erdene Zuu monastery, the symbolic ruins of Karakorum. There are also many other historical places. Drive further to Tsetserleg town and visit to Zaya gegeen monastery or local museum. There is a beautiful mountain Bulgan. Go further passing the mountain and camp in Tamir River valley. Camping.

Day 10 Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National Park

Drive to Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake National Park. On the way we will see Chuluut River Canyon. Camping on the shore of Tsagaan lake. Explore the area. Overnight here.

Day 11 Horse riding

Horse riding along the shore of Tsagaan lake. We visit to Khorgo extinct volcano. Overnight here.

Day 12 Ugii Lake

Drive to Ugii Lake. Today is a long drive day. We will camp around Ugii Lake which is a beautiful lake with many kinds of bird. Overnight here.

Day 13 Hiking to Turtle Rock

Drive and visit to Hustai Range. See wild horses. Overnight here.

Day 14 Drive to Ulaanbaatar

Flight to Dalanzadgad, central town of Umnu-gobi province. We will introduce Dalanzadgad city and Drive to Gobi Gurvan Saikhan Mountain. Visit Eagle valley (Canyon of the Eagle’s Mouth). We can visit to a Natural history museum which is located in beginning of this canyon. Overnight in tents.

Day 3 Khongor Sand Dune

Continue driving to Khongor sand dune(called Singing dunes). Small hiking. Overnight in tourist camp.

Day 4 Camel Riding

Today we will do camel riding to explore the Khongor sand dunes. The two-humped Bactrian camels are very comfortable to ride as they walk slowly and gently, and you will be well supported by the humps, sitting comfortably in between them. Our camel guide will lead you safely through the sand dunes. Plus, you will have an opportunity to visit a camel herdsman family to experience their lifestyle, culture and traditions. Overnight here.

Day 5 Bayanzag (flaming cliffs)

From here Bayanzag (flaming cliffs). We will spend 4 hours. Bayanzag is one of main attractions this trip. Because several dinosaurs’ skeleton and bones were found in this place. Overnight in tent.

Day 6 Ongi Temple

Day 2 Flight to Khovd and Meet with Nomad Family

Flight to the Khovd city, Khovd province. There are many different ethnic groups reside. Visit the monuments of Galdanboshigt khaan and Ard Ayush. Drive to the old wall of the Manchu and the Mosque (Moslem church). Visit the local Museum which includes some rare artifacts such as ethnic clothes, rare stones, stuffed animals, photos and exhibitions of Manchu. Drive to Nomad family. On the way we see Khar Us lake. Meet a local family. Sleep in tents.

Day 3 Nomad’s day

This day, the nomadic tour will start early after breakfast. You will see how to take down a ger (yurt), how to bundle and load the ger’s furniture on the back of a camel, and many other customs of nomadic life. You will be able to ride a horse or a camel and will be able to take part the nomadic families move. Picnic lunch half way through move. You do whole day horse riding. Picnic dinner. Sleep in the tents

Day 4 Nomad’s day

The nomadic tour will continue. You can drive livestock for short time if you want this. Also you can gallop on a horse on the steppe. The movement of the nomadic family will finish early evening and the ger will be built. Dinner, free time and a tea party with the family celebrating this 2 days nomadic tour. Whole day horse riding. Sleep in tents.

Day 5 Introducing nomad’s everyday life

This day will be spent with the family introducing you how to make milk products and the other daily work of nomad people. Farewell dinner khorkhog (a Mongolian traditional dish). Pass a night in a tent or ger.

Day 6 Gurvan Tsenkher Cave

Drive to Mankhan sum and visit to the Gurvan Tsenkher cave. Further drive to Khovd city. Dinner and sleep in a tourist camp or a hotel.

Day 7 Visit of a Khazakh family

Visit a Khazakh family. Drive to Chandmani Khar Uzuur where you will see Paleolitic rock paintings. Drive further to the Khovd River. On the way we see Altan khukhii mountain and camp around Ulgii sum. Sleep in tents.

Day 8 Ulangom city

Drive to Ulaangom city. Visit the Central museum of Uvs Province and then on to Kharkhiraa resort complex. Free time. Spend the night at Kharkhiraa holiday camp.

Day 9 Uvs Lake

Drive to Uvs lake, Will see the Boorog Deliin sands. Go further and sleep in wilderness area. Sleep in tents.

Day 10 Telmen Lake.

We will travel through beautiful nature in Zavkhan province. Telmen Lake. Visit to Zambaga tourist camp where we will sleep (30 km).

Day 11 Extinct volcano Khorgo and Terkh National Park

Drive to Tosontsengel soum centre with beautiful nature landscape. We will travel along Ider River and pass Solongot Mountain Pass. Camping around Khorgo-Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake National Park.

Day 12 Horse riding or hiking around

Will visit Khorgo volcano, Zaluus caves, and the Yellow Dog caves. You can a ride horse or go in a boat.

Day 13 Tsenkher hot spa

Drive to Chuluut river canyon, then to Taikhar rock. Drive over the Tsagaan mountain and reach Tetserleg city. On to Tsenkher Jiguur hot springs. Sleep at the Tenkher jiguur tourist camp.

Day 14 Kharakhorum

Drive to Kharkhorin city. Will visit the Erdenezuu Monastery and other attractions.

Day 15 Khustai and Wild horses

Elsentasarkhai sand dunes and Khugnu khan mountain, Khustai range. Sleep in a ger camp and will see wild horses.

Day 16 Ulaanbaatar

Drive to Ulaanbaatar.

Day 17 Free day

Day 18 Departure

Day 1 Ulaanbaatar city tour

Day 2 Khan Khentii national Park

After breakfast, we will drive to the northeast out of Ulaanbaatar to reach the Khan Khentii Mountain National park which will be quite exciting with exploration of attractive landscape composing of mountains, forest, grassland and rivers. Overnight in tourist camp.

Day 3 Khukh Lake

After breakfast at the camp we will drive to small lake Khokh nuur where Chinggis khaan was entitled as a Khan of Mongols in 1189 and listen to brief historical highlights about significant event in the history of Mongolia. Then we will visit the ruins of Bereeven Monastery. Once here you can walk around exploring the river, natural landscape and wildlife – a great place for photos. Overnight in tourist camp

Day 4 Rashaan Rock

Drive to the Rashaan Rocks another historical place where Genghis Khan held ceremonies of sacrifice to worship Huh Tenger or the Blue Sky. Ancient scripts and drawings related to the earlier periods of history of history are also found on that rocks. Overnight tourist ger camp.

Day 5 Uglugch Wall

Today's spot is the ruins of Uglugch walls where the Great Khan was living for some time. This area has a number of ancient graves and stone monuments. An experimental excavation will be held. In the afternoon try out horse riding and visit a nomad family to discover their way of life, their culture and traditions. Overnight tourist ger camp.

Day 6 Deluun Boldog-Birthplace of Genghis Kkhan

Today’s destination is Deluun boldog - Birthplace of Chinggis khaan who was selected as the ‘Man of millennium’ of the world was born in 1162 in Dadal sum. Overnight in tourist camp.

Day 7 Terelj National Park

Up early to drive to Terelj National Park. You'll explore the extraordinary formation of rocks and stones, some of them look quite similar to turtles. The forest consists of Aspen, Larch and Birch trees which support bears, deer, wolf, wild boar, eagles and others. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp.

Day 8 Back to Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast, we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar and visit to Bogd Khan Palace, a series of beautiful traditional buildings where the last religious King of Mongolia resided. After lunch you will be taken to souvenir and cashmere shops. In the evening you can attend a concert performance of national folklore before having a farewell

Day 9 Departure


Key destination: Khuvsgul Lake, reindeer breeders and Mongolian first and biggest monastery
Tour length: 7 nights and 8 days
Tour description: The program is designed to travel around Khuvsgul Lake with pure water. The lake is the second deepest lake in Asia and it is surrounded by high mountains and taiga. With the aim of saving time, one way is flight. But half way is by vehicle, and it is perfect to know Mongolian environment and nomad families. Mongolia’s biggest monastery Amarbayasgalant is included also in this program in order to more show Mongolian culture.

Day 3 Erdenet City

Drive to Inget Tolgoi, half way to Khatgal southern gateway to Lake Khuvsgul. We will pass Erdenet city-Mongolia’s third biggest city and center of copper mining industry. Overnight in tent.

Day 4 Khubsgul Lake

Drive to Khatgal, largest town on the lake and is actually on the river, the Eg river, at the mouth of the lake, so you don’t get much idea of the lake’s size from here. Overnight Ger camp or tent.

Day 5 Horseback riding

Horseback riding in Toilogt. This makes great destination to reach on horse. Exploring the Lake. Overnight at Ger camp.

Day 6 Khubsgul Lake and Back to UB

Back to Murun city. Flight back to Ulaanbaatar. Some shopping. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7 Departure

We can visit to a Natural history museum which is located in beginning of this canyon. Then, travel through Gobi mountains and sand dunes. Visiting a camel breeder's family, familiarizing their life. Overnight in tents.

Day 3 Khongor Sand Dune

Continue driving to Khongor sand dune(called Singing dunes). It takes a half day. Afternoon is free time. Hiking to the Khongor sand dunes, Mongolia’s biggest sand dunes. Overnight in tourist camp.

Day 4 Bayanzag (flaming cliffs)

From here Bayanzag (flaming cliffs). We will spend 4 hours. Bayanzag is one of main attractions this trip. Because several dinosaurs’ skeleton and bones were found in this place. Mandal ovoo sum centre is located 85 km far from here. On to Ongi Monastery. Overnight in tent.

Day 5 Baga Gazriin chuluu

Drive towards Baga Gazriin chuluu, great granite rock formation in the middle of the dusty plains. Farewell dinner. Overnight in tents.

Day 6 Back to UB

Drive to UB city straightly. On the way, we will see a beautiful mountain Zorgol khairkhan. After arriving at Ulaanbaatar, dinner and national folk performance. Overnight hotel.

Western Mongolia Tour

Key destination: Western Mongolian big lakes, Mongol Altai Range, Khazah people
Tour length: 7 nights, 8 days
Tour description: The dominant feature of western Mongolia is the Mongol Altai Range, Mongolia's highest mountain range, which stretches from Russia trough Bayan-Olgii and Khovd and on to the adjacent Gov-Altai aimag. It contains many challenging and popular peaks for mountain climbers, and is the source of several rivers which eventually flow into the Arctic and Pacific oceans. It is easy to see all the sights by jeep. Some parts, especially in Bayan-Olgii, Kazak people live and they use different language and cultures than Mongols.

Day 2 Flight to Khovd City and Drive to Gurvan Tsenkher Cave

Departing from UB to Khovd city by flight. Khovd city is the capital of the Khovd province, as well as the major industrial center western Mongolia. Brief city tour and visit to Local Museum. Drive to Tsenkheriin Agui caves. These caves are about 90 km south-east of the city and really attractive. Cave paintings are approximately 15.000 years old.
There is also about 15.000 years worth of bird dung in the caves, so watch where you step. Visit Zakhchin family which is one of the ethnic groups in Mongolia. Overnight in tent.

Day 3 Khar Us lake and Khuumii Singing

Drive to Khar Us Lake- the second largest freshwater lake of Mongolia. This is the home of various birds. Further to Chandmani soum where local people are famous with khuumii (throat singing). Drive to Khovd city. Stay in hotel.

Day 4 Olgii city and Khazakh people

Drive towards Olgii city. Take a stop at Tsast Uul (120-130 km) on the border of Khovd and Bayan-Olgii aimags. Tsast Uul is a soaring, permanently snow- capped peak of 4193 m. We visit the Kazakh eagle- hunting family, living in slightly larger and colorful gers. They train eagles, falcons hawks to collect marmots, small foxes and wolves and return to the ger, where they are used for food by the Kazaks. The Kazaks will proudly show you their birds.
Arrive in Olgii- you can feel that you are in Muslim-influenced Central Asian region, rather than in Mongolia. Visit a local Museum, displaying the history and culture of Kazaks. Overnight in city hotel.

Day 5 Lakes and Valleys

Drive to Achit Lake offers stunning sunsets and sunrises and plenty of fish. In the afternoon drive to Kharkhiraa valley- delightful valley , surrounded by dense pine forests, has a crystal clear river and carpeted with flowers. It is a perfect place to stay ,while and relax, or to go hiking. Overnigh in tent.

Day 6 Uvs Lake
Drive to Uvs Lake - a gigantic inland sea in the middle of the desert. This lake is large enough to stay on one shore and not to see the other side, creating the impression that you have indeed reached the sea. There you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of nature. Overnight in tent on the shore of the lake.

Day 7 Ulaangom city

Drive to Ulaangom city and Brief tour in the city. Fly back to UB. Overnight in hotel.

Day 8 Departure
